Tiv Statue Sold

This Tiv statue comes from the Tiv people found on the left bank of the Benue River in Nigeria.  They carve figures which are either elongated or naturally proportioned with round heads and occasionally scarification at the corners of the mouth and a crested head.  This particular statue has a wonderful patina.
