Called Ngain, this coiffure and embodies the idea of femininity and fertility. There are several types of male mask which can be carved with different coiffures such as two large buns, or an open -worked coiffure with spider motifs symbolizing the ancestral wisdom,or even with various carved faces appearing in the coiffure. Mask with a large, open worked coiffure was specifocally worn during the royal festivities held within the king palace.
